Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality mourningfully announces the passing of Councillor Ntombekhaya Kortman . Cllr Kortman was a Ward Cllr of ward 33, passed on in Cape Town after a prolonged illness on Monday 5 September 2022. She joined Council in May after the April 2022 by-elections in Tarkastad.
Council Speaker Cllr Noluthando Nqabisa expressed sadness at the loss of Cllr Ntombekhaya Kortman and conveyed words of condolences to the family and community of ward 33 at large.
The Council is liaising with family and is working on preparations for the funeral. Further details will be announced once the family has confirmed details.
