MUNICIPALITY WORKING ON RESOLVING ISSUES RAISED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOUR
The management of Enoch Mgijima Municipality is working around the clock to resume electricity operations.
Electricity operations in Enoch Mgijima Local Municipality have temporarily stalled. This is due to an order issued by the Department of Labour on 16 August, in relation to safety of employees at the electricity unit.
A temporary solution has been instituted, and external contractors have been hired to provide the service while a permanent solution is being sought. Normal operations are expected to resume early next week and all electricians will be back to normal duty.
